FAQs
ARE YOUR BOOKS SPICY?
Right now, I haven't published anything with open-door sex. This is mostly because my father read A Court of Silver Flames and I already have to live the rest of my life knowing that. I can't imagine having to live my life knowing he's read my smut. That said, I can't promise that I will never write something spicy. If and when I do, it will come with adequate warnings.
DOES ILLUSION OF STARS END ON A CLIFFHANGER?
The ending of Illusion of Stars offers a significant emotional payoff, and I personally would not consider it to be a cliffhanger. Others may disagree. Truthfully, I think it's up for debate and what you consider to be a cliffhanger. That said, the characters are left facing an uncertain future. I can't give them a HEA just yet. But I think the ending is worth it. All this to say, read it!
WHO SHOULD NOT READ ILLUSION OF STARS?
If you hate sexy men who can disappear dramatically with illusion magic, if you're looking for smut, if you can't handle potty humor, if you think all fantasy characters should speak like they're in Lord of the Rings, if your name is Karen, if you only ever read nonfiction.
DO YOU HAVE ANY BONUS CONTENT?
There is a bonus chapter from Erik's POV that's a treat for my newsletter subscribers. When we get closer to release, I'll update this and drop the sign-up below.
WHO IS ILLUSION OF STARS FOR?
It is for anyone who has ever Googled "first person POV slow burn romance" or "books with funny banter," for anyone who wants to take a break from the chosen one trope and read about a normal girlie who is just doing her best.
WHERE DID ILLUSION OF STARS COME FROM?
You can check out the "Why I Write" section for the story behind the characters and Isy's character arc. I will also say that I started off with one very specific ending image in mind and wrote the entire story around that. If you've read it, that image became the final moments of the book.

This is a statement, but yes, I do. It has been praised by both Libby Copa of Rebel Newsletter and Daniel Throssell, who is Australia's #1 copyeditor.
